About the Role

The Sales Development Representative’s main responsibility is to generate leads through direct selling tactics and to convert them into appointments for Business Development Managers. You are the prospect’s first point of contact and will be making phone calls, organizing B2B visits, searching for new business opportunities, and scheduling appointments. The SDR is a highly-organized and strategic person who has impeccable communication skills with the ability to provide solutions for prospects. This role provides a unique opportunity to join an established organization that prides itself on delivering high quality roofing products and services. You will be working with an existing Business Development team, helping grow our customer base to ensure sales goals have been achieved. If KPI goals are met, you will have the opportunity to grow within the organization and be promoted to the Business Development Manager position where you will manage your own territory and close your own accounts.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Make outbound prospecting calls daily to potential clients, navigating through to decision makers
  • Set qualified appointments for Business Development team to follow-up with and close
  • Have a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, industry and client needs
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and yearly individual sales quotas are exceeded by setting appointments for new accounts to be closed
  • Use our CRM to record prospects, appointments, activities, and conversion
  • Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of sales experience
  • Flawless communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven sales track record
  • Organized with time management & planning
  • Ability to provide clear written documentation using Microsoft Office
  • Versed or practiced in CRM software
  • Must be able to travel within the North East on a monthly basis
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually as well as being a productive team member
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other similar prospecting applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
