About the Role

The Business Development Manager is a sales professional who will use their people skills, product knowledge, and salesmanship to help meet the needs of our short-term and long-term sales goals. This role provides a unique opportunity to join an established organization that prides itself on delivering high quality roofing products and services. You will be working with an existing sales team, helping grow our customer base while also managing accounts to ensure sales goals have been achieved.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for generating leads, executing sales strategy, and onboarding new accounts to achieve sales goals that benefit the organization and increase revenue
  • Performs direct selling strategies such as cold-calling, in-person visits, attending trade shows, etc.
  • Plans and implements sales meetings and presentations with prospective customers
  • Gains insight into customer needs while identifying opportunities within the company’s target market
  • Establishes & maintains long-term relationships with customers and provides excellent customer-service
  • Builds effective customer relationships with strategic contacts in and out of the industry
  • Utilizes CRM software to keep organized and further analyze patterns & trends that will increase revenue
  • Upholds a strong understanding of products and services, and innovating new ways to acquire new business

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Commercial roofing, commercial real estate or equivalent construction experience – Preferred
  • 5+ Business Development or Sales Experience – Preferred
  • Proven sales track record
  • Goal oriented, team player. Works well with weekly, monthly, and annual targets
  • Comfortable with public speaking, presenting, and business negotiations
  • Versed or practiced in CRM software
  • Time management & planning skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Vocational Graduate – Preferred
